KAMSET

Kamshet also known as the paragliding capital of India is located in the state of Maharashtra. It is 45 km from Pune, 16 km from Lonavala and Khandala, and 110 km from Mumbai. • 1) Paragliding: Undoubtedly one of the best things to do in Kamshet, paragliding is that adventure activity which every single person visiting Kamshet must try at least once. There are usually three kinds of paragliding experiences that you can go for, depending upon your age, fitness and experience of the sport. This includes classic tandem paragliding, instructional tandem paragliding and Acro tandem paragliding. Soar above the mountains and valleys and soak in the mesmerising sights of the ever changing skies and hamlets down below while you fly high up in the air in Kamshet.
• 2) Valley Crossing: It's an alpine challenge that helps people discover that they are stronger than they realize. A one hundred foot static line rope across a creek bed, gives the ultimate challenge. The participants are harnessed, connected to a carabiner and attached to the rope, upside down. They pull hand over hand, inch by inch from one side of the stream bed to the other. It's a challenging task but not too strenuous.
• 3) Flying Fox: The platform is fixed with a hard wire from one end of the valley to the opposite. This wire is over a kilometer long and there is a large piece of equipment connected to that. You are harnessed to this equipment that is released by the help of gravity running on the wire from the height of 120 meters to attain the speed of up to 160 kmph. You are pulled back to the launch platform by a retrieval mechanism through its forces.
• 4) Malvandi Lake: It is one of the more unique experiences and things to do in Kamshet, your best bet is lakeside camping. Situated along the banks of the serene Pawna Lake in Kamshet, there are numerous campsites where you can set up your tent and enjoy a tranquil stay in the lap of nature. FORT TIKONA

Tikona also known as Vitandgad is the dominant hill fort in Maval in western India. It is located near Kamshet around 60 km from Pune. The village nearest to the fort is called Tikona-Peth. The 3500 foot high hill is pyramidal in shape and the name Tikona means "triangular".

The fort is a trekking destination noted for the large doors, the temple of 'Trimbakeshwar Mahadev', seven water tanks (seven water tanks), and some Satvahan caves. Trek organisers also commend the views of Pavana dam and the nearby forts of Tung, Lohagad and Visapur. There is a good view of Pavana lake from the summit.
